As indicated above, -00 units must have Mods 1-3 before this conversion can be done. Most importantly, if the unit does not have Mod 3 already, this conversion is not economically feasible. Mod 3 includes replacement of the receiver board. Cost of Mod 3 alone is approx. $4000. If the –00 unit is above serial number 4519, then Mod 3 is already incorporated.

Therefore, in conclusion, -00 units with serial numbers 4519 and above, are the only economically feasible units that can be converted to –01 status.
