- VOR INPUTS:
OBI SIN/COS -- These AC signals are rectified and filtered to produce corresponding DC voltages. These voltages are read by the microprocessor and used to determine input bearing.
DIGITAL -- A digital receiver stores the incoming digital word and notifies the microprocessor that a new bearing is available. The microprocessor then takes the new information from the receiver serially.
COMPOSITE -- A VOR Converter is present to convert the composite input to the 30Hz reference and variable square waves. These square waves are fed to a microprocessor controlled circuit which allows the period of the reference square wave and the time difference between corresponding edges of the reference and variable square waves to be measured.
- ADF INPUT:
DC SIN/COS -- These inputs are fed to a differential stage. This allows the signals to be referenced at some point other than OVDC. The differential output is fed to buffers which drive the needle.
