An Outright purchase is when you buy the part at full price and no core return is required. There are no additional charges. The Outright price is higher than the Exchange price.
An Exchange purchase is when you receive a certified, functioning part (usually SV or OH) and return your uncertified, non-functioning part or "core" to the vendor. The Exchange price is lower than the Outright price. The "core" value is the difference between the Outright & Exchange price. If your core is not returned or not repairable, then you will pay the original Exchange price + the core value.
