Can the GNS-530 w/ Class B TAWS be upgraded in any way for Class A compliance?

No, due to the additional interfaces and performance differences between Class A and Class B Terrain Awareness systems, the GPS-500 and GNS-530 series units are not able to provide Class A capabilities. Please search our FAQ for the added installation and interface considerations needed for Class A TAWS compliance.
