Autopilot computers are built for specific aircraft. In addition, the KC-192 uses an adapter modules that are installed inside to properly configure the autopilot for the aircraft. When the existing KC-192 is replaced in an aircraft, the adapter module must be removed from inside the unit and installed into the replacement unit.
