VDA stands for Validation of Design Approval. An applicant with an FAA Technical Standard Order Approval (TSOA) will submit an application to CAAC for a Validation of Design Approval for a part. When a VDA is granted, a part can be installed on an aircraft in China after the corresponding installation approval (VSTC) is obtained.
