The TDR-94 PN 622-9352-502 and TDR-94D PN 622-9210-502 versions have the ability to generate a static flight ID for N-registered aircraft only using the Mode S code of the aircraft. This install method does not require the controller to be updated for Flight ID capability. Aircraft on registries other than U.S. N-registry can also utilize the -502 transponder, but will need a Flight ID capable controller installed.

 

The -502 versions are also recommended for installations where CSDB interface is used and a CTL-92T is not present.
