Power-by-the-Hour (sometimes abbreviated as PBH) is a type of aircraft maintenance program to provide a predictable maintenance budget or sum per flying hour. It is commonly used to provide fixed costs for engine maintenance over a period of time although it has been applied to other aircraft systems as well.  The term is trademarked by Rolls-Royce but is a commonly used term in the aviation industry.
