FEATURES

  • VHF communications control typically used with VHF-20B Transceivers
  • Tunes frequency range of 116.000 to 151.975 (most models) - see table below
  • Product improved versions (-5XX series) available with modular switch assemblies and flexible printed circuit board to replace most of point-to-point wiring and seperate switch wafers used in -00X models (see table below)
  • Models available with 5 or 28V, red or white lighting (see table below)
  • Frequency selected by two knobs
  • Includes volume control, power, and test control knobs
  • Similar in appearance and function to 313N-5A control but DOES have extended frequency range tuning capability
  • -5XX series contain internal diodes for tandem tuning (see table below) PLEASE NOTE: All parallel tuning control heads, including the 313N( ) series, CTL-20, and CTL-21 controls, are not capable of providing 8.33 kHz tuning. These controls must be replaced with an 8.33 kHz capable control.

Most of the Collins Proline I components were originally manufactured in the early 1970s. Collins has continued to produce some of the Proline I components by special order over the past 30 years however large scale production stopped many years ago. Most of the Collins Proline I product lines incorporates 1960s and 70s analog technology. Collins has superseded the Proline I product line several times with the Proline II, Proline IV, and Proline 21 lines. As a result, some service parts needed to maintain and repair original Collins Proline I components are no longer available. Therefore, you may experience limited to no warranty available and unreliability for many of the Proline I units.
