IND-31C
- Provides the same functions as the IND-31 but also provides additional course datum information to an autopilot
- A panel-mounted, dual pointer VOR/ILS indicator
- Used with the VIR30( ) /31( ) Navigation Receiver
- Provides VOR, localizer, and glideslope deviation; bearing to/from the VOR station; NAV and GS warning flags; and annunciation of RNAV mode operation
- Includes a synchro control transformer that utilizes compass system X, Y, Z heading data to generate a 2-wire course datum error signal for the aircraft autopilot
- An OBS knob is provided for manually rotating the indicator azimuthy card to the desired bearing
- Contains no active electrical components; electronics are limited to meter movements, a resolver, an inductor, a synchro control transformer and incandescent light bulbs for uniform display lighting
- All display drive signals are supplied by the associated receiver instrumentation circuits
