According to Garmin Service Advisory 21115, repair services for the all GMA-340 audio panels are no longer available. Garmin has replaced the GMA-340 with the GMA-342 and GMA-345.

In relation to NE (New) parts, many OEMs change their prices and availability without any notice to dealers or the industry. Therefore, through the REQUEST or RFQ indication, we ask that customers contact us for the most accurate price and availability.

In relation to SV & OH parts, the used parts aftermarket in the aviation industry is not an infinite supply. It is a dynamic, constantly changing market that is significantly affected by and susceptible to highs and lows in supply and demand. Therefore, although we attempt to, at times, we are unable to predict the exact moment when an item may be available. Once again, through the REQUEST or RFQ indication on our website, we ask that customers contact us for the most current and accurate price and availability.

The GMA-340 was originally manufactured in 3 versions- standard GMA-340, dual ADF GMA-340, and the GMA-340H for helicopters.

The GMA-340 has two stereo entertainment inputs, Music 1 and Music 2. Music 1 is soft-muted during all aircraft radio activity and normally during ICS (intercom system) activity. Music 2 is a non-muted input. Two headphone outputs of these devices are used and plugged into Music 1 and Music 2. Two 3.5mm stereo phone jacks should be installed in a convenient location for this purpose.

Yes, pressing the COM 1/2 button activates the split COM function. When active, COM 1 is dedicated to the pilot for MIC/audio while COM 2 is dedicated to the copilot for MIC/audio. The pilot and copilot can simultaneously transmit in the mode over separate radios. Both pilots can still listen to COM 3, NAV 1, NAV2, DME, ADF, and MKR as selected. The split COM mode is cancelled by pressing the COM 1/2 button a second time.

Garmin part numbers beginning with 010 are used by Garmin to identify products as "Shipping Level Part Numbers", Catalog or Kit part numbers. 010 type part numbers do not appear on the actual dataplate for almost all Garmin aviation units.

Garmin part numbers beginning with 011 are the actual unit part numbers, meaning the 011 part numbers are on the dataplate and paperwork of the unit. In most cases, related system accessories within the 010 standard kit and 010 catalog p/n with install kit do have individual 011 part numbers, but are ordered with the single 010 part number that designates a complete kit.

Newly Overhauled parts obtained from Garmin are designated with an N in their part number. This usually follows the 010- in the part number. As with most Garmin 010 part numbers, the N part numbers are for ordering purposes only and do not actually appear on the dataplate of the unit.
