Southeast Aerospace Offers Part 29 ADS-B AML STC with Updated AML
SEA has partnered with Garmin International, Gables Engineering, Peregrine Avionics and Air Methods as the ODA to bring an effective and flexible ADS-B solution to the Part 29 rotorcraft community.
Utilizing a Gables G7614 Control Head and remote Garmin GTX-3X5R or panel mounted GTX-3X5, we are offering the STC data and Right to Use (RTU) for those customers who have legacy Part 29 helicopters. A remote mount feature offers the customer ease of installation for aircraft with existing XPDR controllers installed. Weather and traffic can be displayed on existing Garmin displays or pilot's portable devices, increasing safety and situational awareness.
The Garmin GTX series provides 1090ES out, dual "in" (978/1090) receive capabilities, Connext/Bluetooth connectivity for Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight Mobile, and Aera 795/796. The unit also has the optional capability of an internal GPS, removing the need to install or upgrade the existing GPS system in the aircraft.

Part 25 ADS-B: One year later & our ADS-B STC has been performed all over the U.S. by Garmin Dealers
Southeast Aerospace teamed up with Garmin International, Gables Engineering, and Peregrine Avionics to bring the most cost-effective and flexible ADS-B solution to the business aviation community.
Southeast Aerospace’s Part 25 AML STC# ST00835DE is available for non-TCAS II aircraft. The prototype installation was performed on a Cessna Citation III. FAA conformity has been completed along with the Ground and Flight Test. Operators will have the option to receive ADS-B In on their portable devices and/or existing Garmin displays (additional approvals may be required for the ADS-B In display). Estimated price of the system installed is UNDER $50,000 at your local Garmin dealer.
This is all possible through the installation of dual Garmin GTX-3X5Rs and the Gables G7534-100X control head. The Gables control head can be installed to replace the aircraft’s existing transponder control and provide full transponder control of both GTX-3X5Rs. The installation of an ADS-B fail annunciation to the panel will be required by the STC. The use of the GTX-3X5R’s internal GPS or a Garmin GNS/GTN unit panel mounted GPS will meet the positioning requirements of AC-20-165B.
